If the gas is not plant air, name composition and temperature so density can be reviewed. For conveying duties, describe bulk density of the feedstock and whether the line is vacuum or pressure. Aeration tanks need the water-column equivalent of the discharge psi, not a free-discharge figure.

Ask the factory to show the selected rotary lobe blower on a curve or table rated at the stated inlet, and to keep conventional lobe technology distinct from screw-blower alternatives when that is the requested scope. Acceptance record
Agree how flow rate, differential pressure, speed and inlet conditions will be measured at FAT or SAT. If noise is part of the decision, name measurement location and operating point. Restart after a filter or silencer change should repeat that set.

Rotary Lobe Blower Sourcing coordinates factory quotes for a rotary lobe blower when the buyer can name the gas, the inlet temperature and pressure (or altitude), the process flow in CFM at those inlet conditions, the discharge differential pressure in psi, quantity and destination. Public lobe-blower data sheets, including the AERZEN Delta Blower Generation 5 layout, list flow and differential pressure as separate columns; those columns are comparison units, not a promise that a family maximum can be taken together on one machine.
This site is an independent sourcing partner. We do not manufacture rotors, keep warehouse inventory, or sign factory acceptance. Read the inlet-condition flow note before treating a catalog CFM as the duty. Screw-hybrid machines sit outside this dedicated rotary-lobe family unless the brief names that substitution.

Duty and operating envelope
- Material entering the machine
- State whether the feedstock is air or a named neutral gas, inlet temperature, inlet pressure or site altitude, and any moisture or particulate that will reach the rotors. Oil-free conveying on a public data sheet is a technology class, not a cleanliness certificate for the buyer’s process.
- Required output
- Give process flow rate in CFM with the inlet condition written on the same line, plus discharge differential working pressure in psi. Throughput claimed at a different inlet density cannot be compared. Connected load in kW stays a supplier figure against that point.
- Duty cycle
- Hours per day, start-stop frequency and whether turndown uses a VFD, bypass or multiple machines. A continuous wastewater aeration duty is not the same envelope as an intermittent pneumatic-conveying pulse, even when both use a rotary lobe blower.
Resolve procurement unknowns
A rotary lobe blower RFQ is comparable only after each bidder uses the same inlet condition, the same differential-pressure definition and the same list of package accessories. A dry motor run is not a flow acceptance record.

- Buyer states gas composition, inlet temperature, altitude or inlet pressure, required CFM at that inlet, discharge psi, turndown range, quantity and destination. Footprint and three-phase supply belong on the same sheet if they constrain the package.
- Supplier confirmation
- Each factory must select an actual rotary lobe blower, state power and discharge temperature at the duty point, and mark whether silencers, relief devices, filters, flexible connections and drive controls sit inside the quoted rotary lobe blower package.

P&ID or narrative showing inlet filter, rotary lobe blower, silencers, relief path, discharge piping and whether an acoustic enclosure is in scope. Name the revision. There is no upload control on this form; write the drawing number in the requirements box.

Operating conditions
Inlet condition for the CFM, discharge psi, duty cycle, ambient temperature around the enclosure, and three-phase supply. Cooling water is usually not required on a conventional lobe package; if the supplier proposes it, that utility must appear as an exclusion or inclusion.
Missing inlet pressure, gas name or whether silencers are included should stay listed as open. Filling those gaps with another plant’s typical values makes two quotes incomparable. See the package boundary article.

Manufacturing feasibility, tooling for special flanges, installation quality and SAT remain with the named factory and the buyer’s plant team.
